2-liquid or intermediate raw materials and handling systems.
Transfer Containers for liquid raw materials or intermediates are critical points and should be carefully taken care: After each use, they should be emptied, if possible sprayed with sanitization solution of 0.2% MERGAL K12N and dried hanging up-side down on a placed onto a clean surface than sealed before next use as much as possible.
For Intermediate preparations: If prepared in house (e.g. Tylose Solution),the situation should also be confirmed upon use at the production, especially if not used immediately. IF confirmed, 0.1-0.2% MERGAL K12N could be considered as fast sanitizer and preservative for this raw material.
3-Intermediate base handling and storage.
Situation is under control today and efforts should be maintained for this area and in general: Monitoring of the storage tank lid microbial condition, using B-F Indicators is recommended weekly up or at least monthly, on Monday morning before any new batch addition.
4-powder raw materials.
If all teast raw materials were found in good condition this time, as part of the Material QC, it is recommended to check the microbial condition of the raw materials over a period of 10 consecutive batches for each supplier in order to check quality consistency and risks level: This could be easily achieved using B-F Indicators
As many ready to use powder materials were found in open bags while waiting to be used, it is recommended to keep them sealed at all time until use to prevent plant dust or
any other sources to contaminate them.
In general the use of B-F Indicators will help to quickly check process equipment ,powder or water-base liquid raw materials and products.
