If you cancel your flight in accordance with the fare rules, you are eligible to receive either a credit or a refund in accordance with the fare rules. Credits can be given for all forms of payment and are available to be used online via Manage Bookings or through the Guest Contact Centre.
Where credit is stored within a Travel Bank account, these credits can be used on any Virgin Australia booking (with the exception of Blue Holiday packages) and must be used within 12 months of the date the credit was issued. Travel Bank credits can also be used to pay for fare differences and changes fees.
If you elect to receive a credit, you cannot subsequently apply for a refund even if the fare rules permit.
You can book a new flight using your Travel Bank credit, either online or through our Guest Contact Centre.
Note: Your new fare may be more expensive than your original fare. If you booked your flight using Velocity Points you can only obtain a credit, not a refund.
