Buffalo officially supports Windows

Buffalo officially supports Windows XP, VISTA and 7 for this products.

However, Non enqription mode (as normal USB-HDD mode) should be work on windows8.1.

Please try
(1)Use Non enqription mode. To disable security lock function (2)If the customer has diffrent model of Windows 8.1 PC, please confirm the USB-HDD can be reconized or not.
USB bus power supply capacity is very different from PC models. Not all machines are capable of running these devices.
