In the simulation implementation, Power System Block Set(PSB) in MLS and PSPICE are used to model and simulate thecircuit. The circuits for Boost DC to DC Converter and DCfour quadrant chopper were supplied by 10V voltage source.Figure 13 is the top-level simulation model with the powercircuit switch arrangements as in Figure 14. The PWM modelis as shown in Figure 15; a constant representing a straight lineor reference signal is compared with triangular wave as acarrier signal to produce the required respective PWM output.The switching frequency of 4kHz was used to investigate thecharacteristics of Boost DC to DC Converter and changing thefrequency to 6kHz and 9kHz. Table II and III are shown theparameters used for Boost DC to DC Converter and fourquadrant DC Chopper. Figure 16 shows simulation model inPSPICE.
