I'm interested in taking photographs.
I can't speak for all photographers, but personally I don't want to sell my photos, I just want to see beautiful interesting spaces and people and document them if only for a moment, and share them. I decided that I when I travel to Montana to hike the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness from July 17-22, I'm going to shoot to share.
I rented a Canon 5D Mark III along with two lenses, 50mm f/1.2L and 24-70mm f/2.8L USM from the amazing borrowlenses.com. The total cost was $486.39. I'll be bringing my own batteries from my Canon 60D, and all my own backpacking gear.
This is what I can do with a camera.
I'm an amateur photographer but I'm a professional designer. I see for a living. So I've got a reasonably good disposition toward composition. This is the kind of thing I can do.
