Due to recent development and the trend of market practice, the Management of the Company has discussed and agreed to revise the retirement age for local employees to 60 years old, with the exception given to those whose attained age is from 49 – 55 or 5 years before retirement shall have the options to confirm whether their retirement age will be 55 or 60.
Under Thai laws, the policy on retirement age is considered part of the working conditions which form an integral part of each individual labor contract. We are calling for your cooperation in completing the process of revising the working conditions of Siemens Limited Thailand as follows:
1. Within two weeks from the date of this announcement, the Division Leads, Division Controllers and Department Heads shall communicate and align within their reporting lines about the election of employee representatives. Division Leads/Controllers and Department Heads could be representatives as well. All local employees shall have the right to vote and elect the suitable representatives, 07 highest voted employees shall be the employee representatives.
2. The Company will confirm the authorized representatives upon receipt of the final list of elected employee representatives and organize a meeting to officially discuss and agree on the policy on revised retirement age.
3. The final agreed policy on revised retirement age will be incorporated and registered as part of the working conditions of Siemens Limited Thailand.
