Clos Dominic Clos Petó 2008 is made in Priorat, Spain. It's a fine blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Garnacha/Grenache and 10% Carinena. It has spent 12-14 months in French oak barrels and as many wines, will come to its full potential with at least 30 minutes of aeration. Poured in a glass, it has intense red cherry colour and inky violet tones. On the nose, there is intense aromas of ripe fruit and a harmonious range of spices. The wine is very tasty, has a refreshing balsamic background and an elegantly toasted feel to it. It's sweet and intense, filled with soft liquorice and roasted fruit, velvety and very balanced. The finish is good and pretty persistent.
