You know what you want to do,
But it feels like some invisible enemy has you boxed in,
Holding you down with a hijab,
You try to get somewhere, but something invariably blocks the path,
Following and thwarting each move you make,
You have just enough freedom to feel like you can move,
Just enough to feel like it's your fault when you can't seem to follow through or build momentum.
There are always people out there looking to get you,
They want to intimidate you, rattle you,
Pressure you into making a decision before you've gotten all the facts,
They want you thinking and acting on their terms, not yours,
So the question is, are you going to let them?
For me…..
….
I perceive things differently; I cut the illusions that other fear,
I endure a world mostly beyond their comprehension and control,
Obstacles are actually opportunities to test ourselves,
When I got an unfair task, I take it, so I can test what I'm made of,
When bad luck come to me, I know is just a chance for me to make up something,
Impossible to discourage!
I start, anywhere, anyhow. I don't care if the conditions are perfect or slighted. Because I know that once we get started, getting the momentum, we can make it work.
Because I know that Rabbi is testing me, He want to see if I'm worthy, If I can get past the thing that he make fall in my way, to know if I will stand up and show how great he made me.
You see, there is always a countermove, always an escape or a way through,
So there is no reason to get worked up,
Do not make failure stop you, but remember that failure shows us the way, by showing us what the way isn't. "
