transcript
A transcript is a verbatim account of the interaction that has occurred in a lesson, or in a part of lesson. in one sense, therefore, it is simply a very full kind of 'documented recall', as described above. however, transcription has been placed last here because most transcripts actually derive from an audio or video record of a lesson. sometimes the transcripts are handwritten by a trained observer and subsequently typed up. producing and transcript can therefore be a fairly complex and time-consuming process. the great advantage of transcripts is their accessibility: it is usually easier to make a detailed analysis of a transcript than form an electronic recording.
