The Discussion SectionWhat is a Discussion Section?Most journals require a Discussion or Conclusions section. Every paper submitted toUSJ must have a Discussion section. It cannot be combined with the Results section.The purpose of a Discussion section is to interpret the results, relating them to previous studies that the author and other authors have done. The author should begin the Discussion section by re-stating the hypothesis he/she was testing. Then he/she may begin interpreting the results in light of this hypothesis.
