Overview: Effective with the operating certificate due 15 April 2017, Visa will revise the operating certificate

for the Acceptance / Merchant Data section will also be updated to provide additional definitions and guidance.
Effective with the operating certificate due 15 April 2017, which reflects
volume and transactions from 1 January through 31 March 2017, Visa will revise
the operating certificate Schedule D—Section A: Acceptance / Merchant Data.
Acquirers will need to include additional metrics for PFs, related sponsored
merchants and active mPOS devices. The revisions align the merchant information
gathered through the certificate with changes in the acceptance landscape.
Instructions for the Acceptance / Merchant Data section in the operating
certificate Schedule D will also be updated to include further definitions and
guidance on providing merchant information for existing and new metrics.
Visa is providing advance notice so clients may accommodate the revised Schedule D reporting requirements
ahead of the 15 April 2017 due date. Please refer to Appendix A: Revised Schedule D—A. Acceptance / Merchant
Data to see the updates and instructions. Acquirers and processors must be able to monitor and report merchant
information for operating certificates to ensure data is accurately tracked.
