feeding relatively more saturated oils in the present study probably made the Vitamin E
effect less pronounced. The n 3 PUFA, mostly C18:3, n3, comprised about 10–20 g kg1
tissue in the present study, which is less unsaturated as compared with C20:5, n3 and
C22:6, n3, and much lower as compared with the 20–110 g kg1 tissue found in the studies
of Ajuyah et al. (1991) and Cherian et al. (1996).
