For searching, if I search something in English I often use Google, if I search something in Chinese I usually use BaiDu, the most popular search engine in China. This week I tried some new search engines I never used before, such as SweetSearch, Wikipedia, and Columbia Encyclopedia. It is a kind of magical. To make sure English is a second or foreign language in Thailand, I searched this question via Google, SweetSearch, Wikipedia, and Columbia Encyclopedia. Finally Columbia Encyclopedia gave me the answer. I am a little upset with Google. So now I know that to search something I can use different search engines, some of them will bring me surprise. Using ABCD model to write behavioral learning objectives is another surprise and challenge. At the beginning, I have no idea of ABCD model. After reading the files and watching some videos, it is much clear. I think it is a easy and simple way of writing behavioral learning objectives. Because you just need remember the four alphabets, you will not miss any key points of an objective. And one sentence can show all details. It is also easy to be understood by the students. I will try to use it in my Chinese teaching classes. The most challenging assignment is the first questions of Independent Study. I talked my outline with Aj. Anthony, and he help me with my first draft. I learned a lot from the English native speaker and professional researcher. First, he was on time. And he is serious and pays attention to the details, for example, should I use "the" or "a", "English" or "English language". Then he gives some valuable suggestions to change some parts, while he emphasizes the good parts I did. Finally I went through my problems. It was a relaxed and meaningful talk.
