As stated before, management assessment and hazardousnessclassification of the sludge were addressed according to the EUstandard EN 12457-2 (2002) leaching test and the US standard TCLPleaching test (US EPA, 1998). The EN 12457-2 leaching test assessesthe suitability of wastes for disposal in a landfill site. The experimental concentrations obtained in the test can be compared withthe limit threshold values established by the European Council (ECDecision, 2003) for the acceptance of wastes in three types oflandfill sites: inert, non-hazardous and hazardous wastes. Giventhat it is the first time that static tests are used in sludge from activeAMD treatment, and following the suggestions of the European rule(EC Decision, 2003), the EN 12457-2 leaching test was repeatedthree consecutive times in a same sample aliquot to have information on the effluent quality and extractability over time.

Sebagaimana dinyatakan sebelumnya, penilaian manajemen dan hazardousness
klasifikasi dari Lumpur telah diatasi sesuai dengan
Uji pencucian EN 12457-2 (2002) standar dan TCLP standar AS
tes pencucian (EPA US, 1998). Tes pencucian EN 12457-2 menilai
kesesuaian limbah untuk pembuangan di tempat pembuangan sampah. Konsentrasi eksperimental yang diperoleh dalam tes dapat dibandingkan dengan
nilai ambang batas yang ditetapkan oleh Dewan Eropa (EC
Keputusan, 2003) untuk penerimaan limbah dalam tiga jenis
tempat pembuangan sampah: limbah inert, tidak berbahaya, dan berbahaya. Diberikan
bahwa itu adalah pertama kalinya tes statis yang digunakan dalam Lumpur dari aktif
Perlakuan AMD, dan mengikuti saran dari aturan Eropa
(Keputusan EC, 2003), tes pencucian EN 12457-2 diulang
tiga kali berturut-turut di alikuot sampel yang sama untuk memiliki informasi tentang kualitas efluen dan extractabilitas seiring waktu.
