Ellen, Georgie and Owen started thinking about creating a new kind of music publication back in the Spring of 2015. We felt there was a need for a space that did something new: presenting musicological research in an engaging and fun format, whilst also making it widely-accessible. We wanted to bring music research into the wider public, both by making a free-to-read website and also reimagining the reach of our content. Our aim was to create something that broached the gap between the vast audiences of music-lovers with cutting-edge music research.
