one of the striking characteristics of Hegle's philosophy is his Logic. He thought he had developed a perfect logic system that supposedly corrected the inadequacies of Aristotelian logic. The word "dialectic" best fits Hegle's logic, and it has often been portrayed as a rather mechanical warning between thesis and antithesis, with the resulf being a synthesis.Yet, his logic was not quite that inflexible, for it included many variations and shadings of the triadic categories.Even more to the point,Hegle conceived of thought as a continuum, not a series of mechanical synthetic unions. We could say that the continuum is characterized by a moving constrat "synthesizing," a moving, growing, everchanging thought process.
