In the event of electric train testing on the mainline during Non-Traffic Hours, Track Possession needs to be arranged due to the safety concern of high speed train movements. Furthermore, traction power supply has to be remained to support electric train movements. However, any Track Possession involving energized Third Rail sections (Level 0 Isolation) must include a Buffer Zone at each end of the Track Possession. Each Buffer Zone must be at least one station apart, i.e. platform to platform, from the Live Third Rail section(s). This shall include both Northbound and Southbound tracks when points and crossing are involved
