I have suggested that there may be other mediators between procrastination
and academic achievement. It will be worthwhile for future researchers to
investigate further the factors involved in the causal nature of the relationship
between procrastination and academic achievement, such as cognitive or
motivational strategies. The most significant limitation of this study is that
most of the participants were female college students. Therefore, it is hard to
generalize this finding to other student populations or to males. Further research
is needed to determine whether or not the findings may be generalized to other
student populations or men. In this study the context was limited to studying
for the midterm examination of an educational psychology course. Therefore,
further research is needed to determine whether or not these findings could be
generalized to other academic or nonacademic settings.

Saya telah menyarankan bahwa mungkin ada mediator lainnya antara prokrastinasi
dan prestasi akademik. Ini akan bermanfaat bagi para peneliti masa depan untuk
menyelidiki lebih lanjut faktor-faktor yang terlibat dalam sifat kausal dari hubungan
antara prokrastinasi dan prestasi akademik, seperti kognitif atau
strategi motivasi. Keterbatasan yang paling signifikan dari studi ini adalah bahwa
sebagian besar peserta adalah mahasiswa perempuan. Oleh karena itu, sulit untuk
menggeneralisasi temuan ini untuk populasi siswa lain atau laki-laki. Penelitian lebih lanjut
diperlukan untuk menentukan apakah atau tidak temuan dapat digeneralisasikan ke lain
populasi mahasiswa atau laki-laki. Dalam penelitian ini konteks terbatas untuk belajar
untuk ujian tengah semester dari kursus psikologi pendidikan. Oleh karena itu,
penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk menentukan apakah atau tidak temuan ini bisa
digeneralisasi untuk pengaturan akademis atau nonakademis lainnya.
