This project use the concept of electric energy to potential energy and transform into kinetic energy. People nowadays want to make work more easier and faster because they have lack of time. They also use the manual system with knife to slice the tempeh and it will make the production of tempeh chips low. This will make the process to slice the tempeh slow and harder. They also slice the tempeh with different size and the thickness also not suitable. When we cut the tempeh, we may cut off our finger and it will harm to someone who cut it. Apart from that, when our hand injured during cutting tempeh, the tempeh is likely to be contaminated with blood. In this designed, the prototype is designed to slice 40 tempeh per minute and also to make a portable and high efficiency machine that is generated by electrical energy. However, this prototype can’t operate in 24 hours or too long because it use small motor to run the machine. The size of the raw tempeh also have a limits that is 3.5 inch in breadth and 6 inch in long. The reason this innovation happen because we want to help small industries of tempeh chip to run their work smoothly without any delay of chips production or lack of chips due to many orders. The design can be defined as the use of the principle of scientific, technical information and imagination. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the systematic design methods and processes to produce optimal results and design.
