). C- Card not blocked (Shell’s fault) – Customer requested Shell to block card. But due to some reasons such as oversight or back log, card was not blocked immediately when it was reported.
2). I – Card not blocked (cust fault) – I look at this in the context of lost/stolen card cases. Customer did not request Shell to block card and the lost/stolen card was fraudulently used
3). I – Fraud due to fake (duplicate) card – Fraud arising from the use of a counterfeit card
4). I – Invalid Fraud – Sorry, I do not know what this means. To my mind, if the fraud is invalid, then, the transaction must be genuine or valid
5). J – Limitation of 3rd party merchant – This does not apply to the East as we do not have 3rd part merchant that accepts Shell Card as payment mode
6). Card Cloned – A genuine card that has been skimmed by an skimmer (an electronic device) and the illegally obtained encoded information has been used to create a cloned card
7). Duplicate payment – I take it to mean that double payment by the customer to Shell or by Shell to the Retailers
8). Fraudulent use of customer card details – Customer’s card details has been illegally obtained by any means and a counterfeit/fake card has been created and fraudulently used
