Riparian vegetation and its bordering waters provide critical habitat for birds, small and large mammals. Reservoirs result in inundation of the nesting, forage and cover provided by these areas are temporarily or permanently lost. When habitat is lost, animals are forced to move to higher ground or other areas where habitat conditions may be less suitable, predators are more abundant, or the territory is already occupied. Meanwhile, construction of transmission lines destroy individual animals or might alter their habitat so that it becomes unsuitable for them. When construction activity is finish, animals may migrate into these areas. In addition, wildlife was disturbed by human activities as well as was catched for food.
