GENERAL LAYOUT, RESOURCES,
AND FACULTY
The director of the parent education program at this
large urban health-care setting with multiple suburban
outpatient sites gave approval for the authors to
develop the curriculum, find appropriate resources
and instructors, and market the program. Discussion
identified what topics all parents need, how the content
would be tailored to expectant parents of multiples,
and how much time each of these content areas
would be allotted. The decision was made to develop
this new class as a three-part series, one 3-hour
session per week for 3 consecutive weeks. Offering it
every 3 months satisfied the needs assessment.
