In human nature, there are two opposing sides, good and evil. These polar opposites are everywhere. They are in superhero comics, books, history, news, and your life. People come across these two terms all the time, but their definitions are highly subjective. Some would say good is an act that they agree with, and evil is an act that they disagree with. However, not everyone has the same belief system. That makes it possible for differing opinions on the exact same action. Good can be thought of as evil, and evil can be thought of as good, because these terms are a matter of perspective. They are not definite in any given situation. In the novel, Lord of the Flies, the author, William Golding displays these two sides through two characters in the story. Ralph is the character facilitating order on the island, and Jack is the character who attempts to bring about chaos. The acts of both characters can be thought of as both good and evil, depending on who is reading the story.
