ABOUT THE JOB
IKEA shopkeepers, one of the most dynamic and rewarding positions in IKEA store. Your challenge will be to optimise sales and profitability within a shop and store by leading and inspiring your team and combining your knowledge of the IKEA product range with your knowledge of the local market and the needs of customers.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
To achieve the sales budget and gross margin goals set by the manager for the sales section you are responsible for
To manage your staffs' working schedule and all operating costs related to your department (costs of goods sold and staff costs being the most significant)
To achieve the customer satisfaction goals set by the sales manager for your area (measured by IKEA Brand Capital and CSI)
To make sure that the store is in shape as new, has a strong commercial basic level and each area you are responsible for is properly staffed with trained and qualified co-workers during all opening hours
To reflect the strongest low price image regarding furniture on your local market
To manage sales forecasts are adapted to the sales in order to achieve an optimal goods flow
YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
At Least 3-5 years sales experience in a supervisory level, have proven record as a problem-solver and a decision-maker who excels in a fast-paced retail environment.
Experienced in managing team of 15-30 staffs (especially part-time co-workers) for sales activities & staffs' working hours schedule (shift)
Interest in home furnishings and able to provide solutions to IKEA business customers.
High ability in handling with pressure, able to work independently as well as a member of the larger team in order to be efficient.
Possess strong enthusiasm, good communication skills, tactical abilities, self-reliant and self-motivated.
Quick develop in-depth knowledge of local market business conditions and competitive environment.
Good at prioritising and organising both internal and external tasks, using commercial priorities in order to make the most efficient use of time available.
Act as a role model for the team staff, possess coaching and training skills
Able to write and execute a business/action plan, follow up the goals set and communicate within IKEA and outside of IKEA, in the business world, representing the company values.
