than 13 orders of magnitude between 400 °C and 25 °C at 50 MPa implying
that aCa2+/a2
H+ ratios increase significantly with a decreasing
temperature (cf. Foustoukos et al., 2008). Similarly, the log K of
Reaction (R3) decreases more than 8 log units between 400 °C and 25 °C, which reflects a marked decrease in aSiO2(aq) with decreasing
temperature
