Based on the literature review (e.g., Donovan and Rossiter, 1982;Sherman and Smith, 1987), we consider that the atmospheric cuesof the Spa, or rather the stimuli received by an individual in theSpa environment will influence his/her emotional response. If theatmospheric cues are adequate, the response will be relaxation andpleasure (see Fig. 1). Thus, the following hypotheses are formulated:
