Engaging Vulnerability (EV) is a multidisciplinary research program funded for ten years (2015-2025) by the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) with support from the Vice-Chancellor’s strategic funds, and the Faculty of Arts. The goal of the program is to conduct empirical research and develop perspectives that engage vulnerability as a productive resource rather than a lack or privation. Currently, research within the program is being carried out in the disciplines of anthropology, ethnology, philosophy, rhetoric, media and communication, and comparative literature.
