Even though I stated in the e-mails we exchanged before he arrived that 5 days probably would be too much, but that he could start out here and then see, I felt that Ryan took it for granted that he could surf at our place for the full length of his stay in Oslo (5 nights), as he acted with surprise when I asked him if he had any other options after 2 nights (he did not find any other place).
He did not even once ask if he should make any contributions when it came to food, and nor did he make much of a contribution when it came to doing dishes after our breakfast/dinners either. A very easy thing to do to show your gratitude when surfing.
He also managed to call me much later than agreed upon the last night, when I had been working late and had to get up really early to go to work again the next morning, and I made it clear that I didn't want to wake up in the middle of the night to let him in.
Because of all this I felt that he was misusing my hospitality and acting immature.
