1.4.4 Engineering Geologic Conditionals of Headrace Route
1. Basic Geologic Conditions
The channel is entirely arranged on L/B of Xeset River, it is topographically spacious and flat, mostly being forestland with dense vegetation covers, the ground of which is from El. 325m to El. 317m. Except that there is bedrock sporadically outcrop in Houay Por Gully and along the road, all the other parts are Quaternary overburdens. It is to arrange a regulating reservoir in the middle section of the headrace channel and it is to classify the headrace channel as the front section and the rear section. The bedrock outcrop en route the headrace route is Cenozoic (vPg) basalt and Mesozoic (Mz2) sandstone, with extensively distributed Quaternary accumulation strata. Structures like faults and folds are undeveloped in the headrace route, without relatively large faults running across the headrace route.
