Chlorophyll meaning was determined using a portable Chlorophyll Meter, model SPAD-502 (Soil and Plant Analysis Development) of Minolta Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan (1989). The device has two LEDs (LED) positioned at the tip of the meter, which emit light in the range of 600–700 nm and 860–1060 nm range, in sequence, when closed (Godoy, 2002). The light passes through the emission and the part that crosses the sheet reaches a receiver (photodiode silicon)
