Paulo Miguel Gama is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Coimbra. He has
a PhD in Management (Finance) and a Master in Management Science from the ISCTE-IUL
School of Business, and a BA in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of
Coimbra (FEUC). He teaches investments, financial statement analysis and entrepreneurial
finance in the undergraduate, graduate and executive programs at the FEUC. He is currently
the Sub-Director of the FEUC and Co-Chair of the Executive MBA program and of the Master in
Accounting and Finance. His research interests include international investments, corporate
finance and behavioral finance. His research has been published in academic journals such as
the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, The Journal of Banking and Finance, and
The Journal of Behavioral Finance. He has been a recipient of research grants from the
