and the digitalisation of university-based, governmental, organisational and media documents
and other data, it is now possible to access such sources from around the world.
This potentially provides you with considerable scope to design a research project that
capitalises on a wide range of available data sources. There are limitations in attempting
to use this strategy and we briefly consider these after outlining types of documentary
sources and discussing their attributes
