Dear OE Process Sponsors,
2015 OE business planning process has started since July this year and it has made good progress towards its completion. I would like to compliment all Process Sponsors and Advisors for turning in the plan timely to our MSP Advisor. In order to improve the effectiveness of work plan prioritization process, as well as to reduce potential recycle when the plan is proposed to OELT for final endorsement, a prioritization team (comprising senior management from various OE sub-committees) has been set up to review the proposed OE Business Plan.
The prioritization team had already endorsed the new prioritization metric . However the team recommended that Process Sponsors and Process Advisors should revisit their current proposed OE process activity plans and look for opportunities to streamline and lean the OE business plan. The recommendation is in line with John Watson’s prior message to allocate the limited resources to the key focus areas (i.e. fatality and serious process safety incident prevention) and do less or even drop lower priority activities that do not support the key focus areas above. This recommendation also helps address employees’ concern on high workload issue reflected in the recent Chevron Employee Survey.
As your Process Advisor engage you during next week to finalize the OE activity plan, I would encourage you all to demonstrate OE leadership by actively engaging with this final review process, ensure revised prioritization matrix is used, and most importantly streamline/lean your specific OE process activity plan as much as you can. Please follow detailed steps/guidelines in the attached information pack and ensure your Process Advisor submit the final plan to MSP Advisor by August 27, 2014.
Thank you so much for your continued support for this important work process.
