has good resemblance with effiverinz in binding energy and the interaction pattern with
amino acids in the cavity of the protein IFK9. The quick prop program predicts that it can be
used as a drug and it should be non-toxic. Five drugs namely olsalazine, Lobenzarit,
Aceclofenac, bromofenac and epalrestat are very similar to 2-diphenyl succinic acid . Their
binding energies to IFK9 are also encouraging. These molecules appears to be potential anti-
HIV reverse-transcriptase molecules. Further work pertaining to experimental verification of
these predictions may be carried out in the laboratories which have the adequate facilities.
