Once core and thin section description had been completed, mudstone facies were grouped on the
basis of previously defined characteristics, and stratigraphic columns were drawn up that integrated
information from gamma ray logs. Depositional environments were then interpreted for the various
mudstone facies associations (see Facies/Environmental Interpretations). The definitions of carbonates in
the Green Wackestone (GW) and Thick Grainstone Bed (TGB) facies were made under the classification
terminology used by Dunham (1962).
