crystals and cannot be reliably considered as paragenetic. However,
lower-mantle minerals (associations of ferropericlase, MgSiperovskite,
and ‘olivine’) were also recently identified in diamond
from a kimberlitic dyke (K7) and ancient placer deposits from the
same area (Tappert et al., 2009) suggesting that the Orroroo area of
South Australia is the second, reliable source of lower-mantle material
