These are optimistic times for AIG. As we collectively work to implement AIG’s Strategy and transform our culture, our people’s hard work and dedication are forging the AIG of the future.
Every day, we are seeing our colleagues do great work, go above and beyond what is expected, and live the Vision, Mission, Values of our company. Although we know that our people recognize each other’s accomplishments informally, we need to make a more consistent and coordinated effort to recognize each other’s contributions to the company and each other. Our people are an integral part of our culture and the strength of AIG – and it is important that they know how valued and important we all are to the company’s success.
We’re working across the organization on many efforts to improve employee engagement and build AIG’s culture. Today I’d like to tell you about one of those efforts that we can all participate in – a new feature in Workday that enables you to acknowledge your colleague’s and direct report’s success and outstanding achievements publically with a badge that will appear on the recipient’s Employee Profile.
Badges can be awarded in five different categories at any time: “Big Idea”, “Customer Excellence”, “Did the Right Thing”, “Make a Difference”, and “Greatest Collaborator.” To learn more about the criteria for each badge and directions on how to award someone, click here for the Workday Badge Guide.
If you are a manager, I encourage you to make an extra effort to continue to recognize your teams, provide real-time feedback, and to formally acknowledge employees.
