repeatedsurfacepolishingwereconfirmedtobePalmqvist
crack patternandinaccordancewiththeShetty’smodel,
so thefracturetoughness(KC) calculationswerebasedon
the cracklengthmeasurementoftheradialcrackpattern
producedbyVickersindentationsaccordingtotheformula
estimatedbyShettyetal. [19]. Thefracturetoughness
values werederivedfromtheaverageof10measurements.
The flexuralstrengthofsinteredsampleswasmeasuredby
the three-pointflexuraltestmethodatroomtemperature
accordingtotheASTMB312standard.Thesampleswere
cut, groundandpolishedinto3515 mm3 specimens.
The three-pointflexuretestswerecarriedoutonaWDW-
100 (ChangchunkexinexperimentalequipmentCo.Ltd.,
China)testmachinewithaspanof10mmandcross-head
speed of0.01mm/min.Thefracturestrengthofsintered
samples(theaverageofsixtests)wascalculatedusing
