In using verbal communication, one requires a language (Khan, 2001). Language is the core of human interaction. Hence, communication with people in different cultures and languages needs to have an international language for communicating. Nowadays, there are 4,000 to 5,000 living languages in the world but English is the most widely used language (Broughton; et al. 1980:1). Therefore, English is considered to be an international language to communicate with foreigners.
Negotiation is not just for making deal. People use, or should use, negotiation skills for resolving disputes and reaching decisions in terms and other multiparty environments. Let’s begin by briefly visiting deals and these other venues in which negotiation occurs, before moving on to understanding what negotiation trying to accomplish, the general nature of negotiation strategy, and how to plan for negotiation (Jeanne M. Brett, 2007).
The terms-of-trade theory, governments use trade agreements to escape from a terms-of-trade-driven prisoner's dilemma. We use the terms-of-trade theory to develop a relationship that predicts negotiated tariff levels on the basis of pre-negotiation data: tariffs, import volumes and prices, and trade elasticities. We then confront this predicted relationship with data on the outcomes of tariff negotiations associated with the accession of new members to the World Trade Organization. We find strong and robust support for the central predictions of the terms-of-trade theory in the observed pattern of negotiated tariff cuts (Kyle Bagwell and Robert W. Staiger, 2011)
