Conclusion
We think that the 4MAT teaching model will have many contributions especially in teaching Mathematics
and Geometry. Moreover, thanks to the 4MAT learning loop, the students will be able to comprehend the
abstract mathematical concept that is one of the biggest problems for the students. In addition to that, the
processes in the learning loop can be quite helpful for the students in regard to the use of mathematical and
geometrical concepts in real life. The 4MAT teaching model provides the students with an opportunity to
perceive knowledge and experience in a field starting from concrete experiences to abstract conceptualization.
Therefore, the teachers can take the four learning styles into consideration in order to meet the needs of all the
students. First of all, the teachers should learn the differences between the four learning styles. While
maintaining to support the learning style of every student in their learning process, they should expose all of the
students to multiple education techniques systematically. So as to fulfill teaching methods appropriate for
different learning styles correctly, the mathematics teachers can include such student centered teaching models in
the 4MAT loop as Problem Dependent Learning, Multiple Intelligence Theory, Brain Based Learning,
Constructive Learning Theory, Project Based Learning, Research Based Learning, computer supported
mathematics teaching and active learning.
