On the other hand, off-site system in terms ofelectricity consumption, solid wastetransportation and disposal degradation ofremaining constituents in the effluent processwere producing lesser amount of greenhousegas respectively. During the last decades, goodpractices in wastewater treatment system havebeen neglected while these results indicatedthat GHGs emission in wastewater treatmentsystem showed significant value. This should, therefore, advises that more concerns bebrought and solutions be implemented. Onepossible approach is to use an energyconservation strategy to decrease greenhousegas from industrial wastewater treatmentsystem. The option is to adjust air blower byusing Variable Speed Drive (VSD) can bebeneficial to save cost 20%. The control ofmicrobial density (MLSS) in aeration tankat optimized concentration can be reducethe GHGs emission and also reduceoxygen consumption demand. This wouldhave the implementation possibilities to reducecarbon footprint, and energy of activatedsludge wastewater treatment system will helpto reduce cost of electricity consumption, toincrease efficiency of the system, and toreduce maintenance cost of wastewatertreatment facilities. A better facilityperformance will also benefit the ecology.
