Tema yang diambil pada novel Dracula adalah tentang perjalanan, cinta, pengorbanan, keberanian, pernikahan, ketakutan, kekejaman, dan persahabatan.
Bahkan, kehadiran karakter dalam novel itu berarti akan ada tema yang muncul, sehingga karakter yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan tema, Serta, Jonathan dalam novel memiliki jiwa pemberani, sehingga Jonathan mampu menghancurkan Dracula.
