From the cultural limitations’ aspect, one of the major constraints on community participation inparticular in remote areas of developing countries, is lack of awareness of locals towards thesignificance of community participation that often results from their low levels of education andinadequate or lack of information about tourism development being made available to them [7].Furthermore, technical complexity of tourism planning and development process and issues alwayschallenges limited capacity of local community members who are then unconfident and reluctant totake part in any decision-making process. In this regard, Tosun and Timothy assert that sinceknowledge is an essential element in empowerment, communities need to access a wide range oftourism information through education [15].
