. How much of a delay? How much money was involved? Has it happened before? If so, how often? Was the matter something over which the employer had no control, like a strike of bank employees? Was the employer simply negligent or disorganised? Was he in fact in grave financial difficulty, a condition hardly likely to be accepted the courts as excusing his failure to pay? It should be said that the simple situation of failure to pay when work is available is not a problem which the courts have frequently encountered.
