PT Mitrabara Adiperdana, Tbk produces coal in Indonesia. It owns and operates Malinau mines covering an area of approximately 2,961 ha located in Malinau regency, North Kalimantan province. The company was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. PT Mitrabara Adiperdana, Tbk operates as a subsidiary of PT Baramulti Susksessarana Tbk. Signing of the contract was done on Sept. 23 and financing for the project will come from the Rp 368 billion in proceeds from its initial public offering in July, Mitrabara said in a statement on Thursday. As reported by The Jakarta Globe The port is designed to facilitate transportation of up to 5 million metric tons of coal by 2015. Construction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2015. Mitrabara operates a coal mining operation in Malinau and controls a total concession area of 2,960 hectares. This year, the coal miner is targeting to produce up to 2.5 million tons of coal, up 39 percent from last year. Production is targeted to increase to 4 million tons by 2015 or 2016.
