In this study, SBM was added to carp at a 1:1 ratio due to the high moisture level of the carp. This was necessary for product flow. This is the first study that examines a dry carp product and nutritional analyses were needed for accurate broiler feed formulations. The CBM was high in protein (54.9%) and lipids (4.6%) and the findings from this study were similar with the studies that investigated the potential of rendered bigheaded carp meal (approx. 64% protein, approx. 12% lipid) [13]. Findings were also in agreement with the dry matter composition of SBM (approx. 43–49% protein, 0.05), indicating that CBM can replace synthetic MET in the diet without impacting animal performance.
