Information added by Group A and used by Group Cto navigate is shown in Figs. 13 and 14. The participantstended to add more photos than text. Further, they seldomregistered new annotations at locations where annotationsalready existed. The answers received to the questions fornavigation of the first and second routes are graphicallydisplayed in Figs. 15 and 16. The navigation was easierto understand for both the first and second routes. However,in the case of the second route, the improvement was minor. As a result, we asked participants about the difficulties innavigation encountered along that route. We received theanswers shown below. Group B– It was simple to understand. Group C– We were unable to find some of the landmarks. The problem encountered by Group B was solved by theaddition of guide annotations by Group A. However, one ofthe new landmarks added by a participant made navigationof the second route by Group C complicated. Therefore,a method for selecting appropriate guide annotations is afuture research topic.
