In 2004 the DH produced an Action Plan entitled Stopping Tuberculosis In England. This document was a response to the numbers of increased cases of tuberculosis. It identified that although tuberculosis is a treatable disease,around 350 people die from it each year. The report set out 10 actions which would lead to tuberculosis levels being controlled
