Nobody can deny that songs are a dynamic way of teaching in a second language. In addition songs are less complicated to understand and to memorize. The purpose of the present study is to show the benefits that have the implementation of songs in the classroom. How much efficient the use of this tool is to develop the listening and speaking skills and what issues have to be taken into consideration when the teacher wants to use it in order to reach a successful development of these skills (Griffe, 1992). During my years in the BA English Program, I have noticed that teachers do not pay the same attention to listening and speaking skills because they may believe vocabulary and grammar are more important to learn (Glodenyté 2010). However, listening and speaking skills also play an important role in the learning of a new foreign language and the use of songs is a dynamic and meaningful way to develop them
