to crime and ongoing clashes between various armed groups, and to inter-clan disputes. In
addition, ongoing inter-communal violence and residual armed group activity from the conflict often result in large-scale displacement, increasing the vulnerability of the population.

Other sources of insecurity include the proliferation of small arms, increasing urbanization and limited economic opportunities for the country’s very young and very poor population.
